The Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) Board of Directors has been expanded with the appointment of Mr. Tony Concannon, an energy sector expert, as well as the reappointments of Ms. Nicola Wakefield Evans, Samantha Tough and Andrea Slattery.
August marked the tenth anniversary of CEFC, which just surpassed its $10 billion goal for lifetime investment commitments.
To increase private sector investment, promote a low-emissions economy, and assist Australia’s transition to net-zero emissions, CEFC provides loans and equity financing for clean energy projects. .
Beginning October 5, 2022, Mr. Concannon will serve a five-year term alongside the reappointed members.
Senator Katy Gallagher, Minister of Finance, congratulated Ms Bond on her service and congratulated Mr Concannon on his new position.
He will succeed Ms. Leeanne Bond, who left the Board after more than five years of service and brought invaluable insight through her extensive engineering and business experience.

The CEFC, according to Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen, is critical to Australia’s ability to meet its carbon reduction targets. “This government is providing long-term energy policies so businesses can invest with certainty,” said Minister Bowen. “Australia’s 43% and net zero emissions reduction targets now have legal status.”
“As a market investor, CEFC accelerates opportunity through investments that promote clean energy projects, including renewable energy generation, energy efficiency and other low-emission technologies,” according to the CEFC.
